Multilingual Publishing: Running Arabic and English Sites

A workflow for publishing the same stories in Arabic and English, covering translation review, matching URLs, and keeping both versions in sync.

Publishing in two languages works best when each article has a single source of truth and matching structure. Keep the same headings, images, and metadata across both versions, and use the same URL slug where possible. This makes it easy to check that nothing is missing and that the language switcher always leads to the right page.

Translation is not the same as adaptation. Assign a reviewer who reads the target language natively to check meaning, tone, and terminology, not just grammar. Build a shared glossary of names and technical terms, and update it whenever a new term appears so both languages stay consistent.
